Pioneering 9th Grade Curriculum Collaboration in the ASD
Reason for Involvement in TESST and my experience teaming
I jumped at the chance to enhance our students' experiences through teaming and technology. Working with a veteran language arts teacher is a dream for me, as we collaborate on our lessons and imagine the possibilities for "hooking" the students with engaging activities. I began my teaching career at Tustamena Elementary School (on the Kenai Peninsula) and have worked K-12, as well as at Alaska Department of Education and the University of Alaska. Now, back in the classroom, I am excited to learn from my team, as well as all of you in this project.
My technology skills are through applying different tools throughout the years. Looking for ways to communicate better, I'm always open to learning new things, and I hope, through this TESST Project, to also provide our students with more technology tools and training.
